God, You reveal deep and hidden things; You know what lies in darkness, and light dwells with You (Da. 2:22). Please help me to discern Your still small powerful voice from the seductive voice of my flesh. Help me to recognize the Spirit of Truth when I am tempted by a spirit of falsehood (1 Jn. 4:6). Teach me to be still and know that You are God (Ps. 46:10). Thank You that through You I can be a better listener. Please teach me wisdom, trust, love, and righteousness. By Your grace, teach me the fear of the LORD because this is the beginning of knowledge (Pr. 1:7). Oh how I love You Jesus, Amen.
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Truth! The world can’t accept You, because it neither sees You nor knows You. But I know You, for You live with me and are in me (Jn. 14:17 NIV). Thank You for teaching me, for reminding me of Jesus’ words, for convicting me of sin, for showing me God’s righteousness, and announcing God’s judgment on evil. You bring glory to Christ! You’ve been active among people from the beginning of time, but after Pentecost You came to live in all believers. You are the Deposit in me guaranteeing my inheritance. You help me look at life in a whole new way (NIV LASB Jn 14:17; Eph. 1:14). In Christ, Amen.
Holy Spirit, You are the Spirit of Truth and the Counselor to be with me forever. Jesus said that if I love Him, I will obey what He commands. Holy Spirit, please help me love Jesus with all of my heart, all of my soul, and all of my strength. I thank You that You can help me. Although the world cannot accept You, because it neither sees You nor knows You, I know You, for You live with me and are in me. Thank You that You have not left me as an orphan; but You have come to me. I see You with the eyes of my heart. I praise You Jesus, that because You live, I also will live (Jn. 14:15-19).
