You, God, have glorified Your servant Jesus…” (Acts 3:13 NIV). Help me not to shrink back from declaring the “whole plan of God” to whom You entrust to me (Acts 20:27 HCSB). When I hear a word from Your mouth, may I be bold to give a warning (Eze. 3:18 HCSB). For You say, “…If any among you strays from the truth, and someone turns you back, [you] should know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of [their] way will save the sinner’s life from death and cover over a multitude of sins (Jas. 5: 19-20 HCSB). Help me Jesus to take You seriously. The lives of many depend on it. In Your precious Name, Amen.

No Matter, December 17
God, You’re to be praised in all circumstances. I consider Your servant Job who in one day lost his donkeys, oxen, sheep, servants, camels, and children. Yet, in the midst, he fell to the ground and worshipped You. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the Name of the LORD be praised.” In suffering, he “did not sin by charging [You] with wrongdoing.” “Job did not hide his…grief. He had not lost his faith in God…” (Job 1:20-22 & NIV LASB Commentary). Jesus, no matter, help me never to lose my faith in You. In Your Name, Amen.
You are the Vine, September 25
Jesus, You are the Vine; and I am the branches. If I remain in You and You in me, I will bear much fruit. Apart from You, I can do nothing (Jn. 15:5 NIV). Help me to remain in You as Your servant Nehemiah did, who prayed continually. He “mourned and fasted and prayed” before You, the God of heaven, before he sought favor from the king to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.(Ne. 1:4 NIV). He prayed to You before he answered the king’s question, “What do you want?” (Neh. 2:4 NIV). He prayed to You when he encountered opposition from the enemy (Neh. 4:4-5 NIV). As he did, help me to remain in You. In Your Name, Amen.
